A Scoop of Hope: Celebs Across the Middle East Join Forces With UNHCR for This Inspiring Initiative #EveryGiftCounts
Using the hashtag #everygiftcounts, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) launched a campaign to encourage donations for refugees during the holy month of Ramadan, the month of giving, solidarity, and good deeds.
The video begins with a narration from celebrities and influencers, who partnered with UNHCR, explaining how no one ever imagined that they wouldn’t be able to leave the house for this long, or have iftar meals with their families, or be able to go to places of worship, or even that they might miss work. For refugees, it’s been ten years under these circumstances. The video urges people to consider giving their donation as a gift that will make a difference in the lives of people who are truly struggling.
