Dubai To Provide Smart School Buses For Students this Academic Year

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that it will provide 368 smart school buses to serve 17 schools in the new academic year 2018\2019. However, the school service is operated by the RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC).
Ensuring the safety of school children, the DTC has launched a new smart app “DTC School Bus” that would enable parents to track the movement of their children’s journey to the school. Furthermore, the environmental-friendly buses will include security features such as surveillance cameras.
Moreover, the RTA’s Public Transport Agency said in a statement that the agency will run an annual inspection service that will verify school buses’ compliance with rules. Therefore, the buses will be checked regularly for the licensing of drivers and supervisors and other safety features.
