Egypt’s national football team superstar and Liverpool’s forward, Mo Salah, was just given an honorary citizenship in Russia by Ramzan Kadyrov, the ruler of the Chechnyian Republic.
According to the Telegraph, Kadyrov handed Salah a decree declaring him a citizen and pinned a medal on his chest at a dinner in honor of the Egyptian team, who are training in Chechnya during the World Cup.

However, many are skeptical regarding the whole thing and beleive that Mo shouldn’t have accepted the citizenship! Kadyrov, is considered to be strongman dictator in the country who has been accused of human rights violations and crimes against humanity.
