With summer comes beach totes, and this new line has hit Cairo’s streets with a bang!
Considering that no one has really ventured into this line of business, when it comes to Egypt’s ever growing fashion industry, we decided to delve deeper.
Meet El Canvas, created and designed by three ladies (Asmaa El Huessieni, Salma El Sayed, and Basma El Bittar).
The girls “wanted to use their artistic background yet not paint in galleries. They wanted to give their audience something different yet still relate with the familiar taste. They wanted to maintain international standards yet proudly manufacture in Egypt. They wanted to be termed local yet stay clear of the mundane.” So they came up with a tote and beach mat line!
