So after a long 70 day nationwide journey the torch has finally made its way to the Olympic stadium where it will light the cauldron at the opening ceremony tonight, yet the mystery still lies in the identity of the person who gets the honor of being the handler in this case.

With tonight being the opening ceremony there has been an approximate expected count of a viewership of at least 1 billion people world wide to be tuning in. The ceremony will last 3 hours long and is said to have cost £27m with approximately 15,000 volunteers taking part. If that isn’t enough it is said to take place on 15,000 square meters of staging with the usage of 12,956 props boasting a million-watt PA system using more than 500 speakers. Sound elaborate enough?

If you have been lucky enough to get a much sought out ticket, now going for about £1000 online, well then you will be sitting with a crowd of 80,000 including the Queen herself and a long list of other members of government officials as well as celebrates.

Festivities are said to sweep the nation celebrating the opening of the games where more than 10,000 athletes from 204 nations will take part in what has said to have cost £9bn of public money to stage.

WE SAID THIS: Let The Games Begin!
