Meet Dubai’s First-Ever 24-Karat Gold Banknote Souvenir

When you think of Dubai, you think luxury, gold, and opulence; that’s why it’s no surprise that the Emirate crafted its very own first-ever 24-karat gold note souvenir. It’s a limited-edition item that costs 159 dirhams.

To answer the question that’s probably on everyone’s mind, no, you cannot spend it in shops. We can’t have everything, right?

Each ‘banknote’ is made using 0.1 grams of gold, has a unique serial number, and features special illustrations of the city’s skyline and landmarks.

It’s the brainchild of Dian Jewellery, Finmet DMCC, and Valaurum, and its aim is to pay homage to Dubai’s historic gold trade.

You can get your hands on one of these luxurious notes from Dian Jewellery and Shantilal Jewellers at the Gold Souq. Tell us, would you buy this?
