Israeli Students Attack Their Teacher After He Calls For Humanitarian Aid In Gaza
According to Al Jazeera, a group of high school students in Tel Aviv huddled around their school teacher in what seemed like a verbal and physical attack. The surprising assault of the school teacher came after an article he wrote for Israeli newspaper Haaretz that said more humanitarian aid should be accessible to Gaza Strip.
The Israeli newspaper is known for its ambivalent stance on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, allowing from opposing voices from both sides to a certain extent.
The incident that speaks of intolerance of Palestinian solidarity among Israeli students coincides with that of the young Israeli man who publicly declared that he refuses to join the IDF, and condemned the Israeli attacks on Gaza, resulting in him being captured by the police and detained for 30 days.
