Food Review: Murphy’s Is Hands Down Maadi Residents’ Guilty Pleasure

Via Murphy's

I’m a hard-core believer in the idea that food is an Egyptian culture. I mean, other than the fact that we love food like crazy, filling up our tummies is an integral part of every aspect of our outings. Being a foodie myself, I am very picky when it comes to restaurants and diners. I’m a proud member of the population that lives to eat and not the other way around. So, giving credit to a super cool diners goes without saying.

One of my all-time favorite spots in Cairo is Maadi’s very own Murphy’s. After a long day at work, in the middle of a day out with my friends, or ordering home delivery for a night in, Murphy’s is always my obvious choice. So, being the regular customer I am, I decided to give you an honest food review on the place.

For starters, let’s take a closer look at their menu. Murphy’s is mostly known for its wraps and delicious selection of starters. I highly recommend their Cheese and Steak wrap; I mean, provolone cheese heaven all the way! I also like their Quesadillas; my favorite is the Grilled Chicken Quesadillas with ranch sauce.

On the side, which is my personal favorite part of digging in, is when I order a bunch of starters and maybe share them with a friend that’s only if I like them enough to share. Their Mozzarella Sticks and Sweet Potato Fries just never go wrong! I also like their chicken strips; they need to work on their breading though, just saying! Along with honey mustard, hmmm, my taste buds are nothing but satisfied!

A downside to their starters’ menu is that the portions are very small, at least for a person like myself, but the out-worldly taste makes it up for me.

A great perk for Murphy’s is that it’s super affordable and their pricing is not bad at all for the world we live in. On another note, get ready for a drive-thru-like experience because you can’t really dine in. You’ll order, and if you’re lucky, they might have their high table ready to host your hot meals. If not, then you’re left with nothing but digging in your appetizing sandwich in the car. Honestly, for me, that’s all part of the fun! They do deliver though, however, the food’s not always as hot as you order at their place.

WE SAID THIS: Murphy’s strategically located in Degla’s Street 253 right before Seoudi Market. For delivery, call 0112 630 3030.
