Birthday outings are becoming pretty predictable: you get your friends together, and you reserve a table at some fancy restaurant. A lot of us want to burst out of that typical bubble and do something completely different for our birthday celebration. Across Egypt are some unique ways to celebrate one’s birthday, and we included our favorites:
Pot Painting At Alexandria’s Roots Landscape
Potted plants hanging from the ceiling, massive leaves, and palm fronds make up the world hidden within Alexandria’s family-owned Roots Greenhouse. If your friend who’s celebrating their birthday loves art and nature, this is the place to go.
Get your friends and sit in this gorgeous room, where you can grab a pot and paint it out. Depending on the weekend, there are always activities to try, whether it’s a pottery session, painting on canvas, or a relaxing yoga session.
Paintball Fighting At Cairo’s Artistique
If you and your friends love getting messy and fooling around, there’s a special spot in Cairo called Artistique, where you can unleash your inner wild spirit. You all get donned in big plastic hooded overalls, and you grab several paintballs and take part in a kaleidoscopic war of color. This definitely shatters the typical birthday outing we’re all used to.
Get Nostalgic At Alexandria’s Central Perk Cafe
From their iconic one-liners to their wholesome friendship, no one can deny that Friends is one of the best shows out there. Fans of this timeless piece of television can celebrate their own friendship by heading to Alexandria’s Central Perk Cafe.
You’ll get to celebrate your birthday on the iconic couch, sip on coffee on their gigantic mugs, and enjoy a live guitar performance akin to that of Smelly Cat.
A Round Of Board Games At Cairo’s Monopoly Cafe
We all need to tap into our competitive side from time to time, and what better way to do so than through a fun round of board games?
Cairo’s Monopoly Cafe offers over 150 games suiting all types of tastes and preferences including the famous crowd favorite 2oolameme. Spending time with friends in a cafe as you battle it out through games that test your wits can be a great way to spend your birthday.
Go Wild At Alexandria’s Africa Safari Park
Animal lovers rejoice as Alexandria has a cool hotspot where you’ll get up close and personal with the beasts of the wild. You’ll feed the gaping wide open mouthed hippos as well as slow-moving tortoises. It’s fun and interactive and makes for some adorable group pics among friends and family.
These are just a few of the hangout options you can go for during your next birthday outing. Every week, there are always new activities that pop up, giving you ample options to pick from, but these are some you can try soon.
