Carrefour Egypt Celebrates 14th Anniversay and the Crowded Stores Look Apocalyptic

Remember when Black Friday happened last month and we all felt like Cairo Festival City Mall was about to collapse? Well, Carrefour is celebrating its 14th anniversay and it almost looks apocalyptic. It all started when Carrefour Egypt started posting about their offers that started today till February 4.

We’re far from surprised that people raced to Egypt’s biggest hypermarket chain since we all wait for their annual discounts. Yet, this year with the economic crisis the whole country is suffering from, people  are even more desperate for any kind of deal they can get. I’ve seen tens of people walking away with Samsung LEDs today at Cairo Festival City Mall’s Carrefour but it was Maadi’s ring road branch that took the internet by storm.
