When a moment of silence becomes all what we are capable of achieving to express our sorrow. When our souls are left handicapped, unable to perform an action. When nothing seems to make sense enough to the eyes and everything sounds rotten to the ears. When we are filled with gratitude that we’re still alive till this very moment, but deep inside, we are guilty of leading a life that is as useless as a knife without a blade.
When we don’t know for sure if we should cling to our faith in humanity or surrender to the striking reality. When the world stops to observe young souls being drifted in less than a second. When we don’t know who to blame so we start pointing at each other instead. When grief is replaced with numbness and a bunch of lost hopes. When we realize that suddenness once used to strike, but now it’s only the traumatized dreams for a better future. When a home no longer waits or welcomes or reassures, but rather becomes a piece of land with a foreign house built on it. When all the opinions are washed up with black sarcasm that multiplies our anger.
When we are blind we can’t even look for the hope we once had before, missing between the ashes. When the history keeps repeating itself like a ruined CD that plays only one track on repeat. And when we are left with nothing but words scratched on a blank document that proves how sad yet powerless we are.
May God grant families patience, steadfast and strength to overcome the heartache they are dealing with over their lost ones.
