Dubai Police to Become the First Ever Police Department to Launch an E-Game
Another day, another chance for Dubai to be extra — but in the best way possible.
Dubai’s police have just launched a one-of-a-kind e-game, making them the first police department to ever launch one (obviously). The game, Friends of the Police, aims at raising awareness, as well as educate and protect members of the community from possible risks.
The game was approved by Brigadier Salem Al Rumaithi, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation.
“The game spreads awareness and uses Dubai’s modern luxury cars and motorcycles to drive home many messages. It also consists of a group of friends who can play it together and work to search and nab a criminal,” said Sheikha Al Abdouli, Head of Awareness at Anti-Crime Department.
One of the main aspects of Friends of the Police is that it only rewards the players if they follow the rules or instructions. The more players follow them, the more they increase their chances of scoring points.
“Friends of the Police also offers an opportunity for the players to receive prizes in kind, as well as participation certificates and a visit to the Dubai Police department,” Al Abdouli added.
