Environment inspection teams from the Department of Public Works and Services in Ras Al Khaimah have just made a massive announcement, issuing fines on 1,100 residents for littering public areas.

“We are planning to launch more environment patrols in other areas, spanning as Al Rams, Al Muairidh and southern areas to ensure full coverage of the emirate,” said Ahmed Hamad Al Shehi, manager of public services at the department.

“Residents are urged to observe environment rules and stop littering public areas and leaving waste behind at desert camping areas.”

WE SAID THIS: Obstructing traffic flow by parking at prohibited areas on Jebel Jais and Corniche roads is strictly banned, Al Shehi warned. “An immediate fine of Dh500 shall be slapped on violators.”
