King Hussein died on February 7 1999, while Queen Alia died on February 9, 1977. In 2003, Princess Haya established the non-governmental organisation to provide hot meals and distribute food parcels to underprivileged people in Jordan. Tkiyet Um Ali currently feeds 30,000 families that have been identified as living below the poverty line.

Princess Haya is no stranger to helping honorable causes. In 2016, she went out of her way to fly to Haiti to oversee the UAE’s relief operations for families affected by Hurricane Matthew. She and her husband sent a jet filled with 90 metric tonnes of aid.

WE SAID THIS: God bless her!
