New York Anti-Muslim Ads Get Some Positive Competition

Rejoice for you can still have faith in the world! When all hell broke loose late last month in New York’s subway systems, most of the Middle East and the educated world braced for the worst.

Hate speech directly pointed at the “Barbaric” Muslim “Savage” by one of the many hate groups in the U.S. meant probably unwanted backlash from the Middle Eastern region, no one knew what to expect after the protest due to the “Innocence of Muslims” movie.

As activists and everyday New York’ians began to deface the hate ad, three different Jewish and Christian groups partnered up to combat Pam Geller’s hateful message.

The United Methodist Women; Sojourners, a Christian social-justice organization; and Rabbis for Human Rights have teamed up to pay $6,000 for 10 subway ads that will gently attack Geller’s posters, sometimes directly (as seen above).

These ads have already began to roll out in New York’s underground and the rest are expected to be put up late this week.

We Said This: We can now still have faith in humanity!
