Lost In Florence: “I MADE IT”

I just arrived in Italy, there’s something absolutely liberating about travelling alone to a foreign country; you can be whoever you want to be, no one knows your name or anything about your history, you basically just recreate yourself.

I took the train from Rome to Firenze aka Florence at 1 PM, I do not know the language, I had 3 heavy bags and I’ve never been to Italy before, but I made it! When I arrived in Florence, I saw the Duomo on my way to the hotel, I felt like a blind kid seeing colours for the very first time, it’s breathtaking, I still can’t believe this is what I’ll be seeing everyday for the rest of my life (or as long as I live here, really)

I dropped off my bags at the hotel, it’s time for apartment hunting and getting lost in Florence! Stay tuned…
