la Pizza Cresci in Egypt?

This may sound strange to all those of you who are used to hearing this name simply when venturing on your summer getaway to the South of France, but to those of you who don’t have that luxury this brand is kinda like the Bugatti of Pizza’s.

It is has been around for more than half a century now and has never left the rich Riviera, but it has decided to let one of our locals steal it away and open its first branch in the suburb of the 6th October/ Sa7rawy at our local Dandy Mall.

The venue has opened its doors today as a ‘soft opening’ testing out all the bits and pieces it has to offer and like any new restaurant hoping it will all go smooth as silk. We visited the new outlet and were actually really pleasantly surprised. Its unlike any other pizza place I have every been too, firstly it has a huge Gold oven in the middle of the venue so that automatically catches ones eye no matter where you decide to sit, secondly it has a classy, cozy vybe to it that makes you feel relaxed yet consistent with the fact that this is no ordinary pizza place.

Because we are really cool like that we got to taste a preview, the pizza is served literally falling off the plate (can easily share for 2) and is actually not as heavy as it looks. They pride themselves with this factor, it being light and what they call “the healthy way out” but if anything it was a pleasent meal. We also shared a green salad, which was simple to that point and well portioned leaving us full and content. The prices are what you would pay for a Domino’s / Pizza Hut kind of pizza, but with a generous portion and a “The Gourmet Pizza” instead.

According to the owner he will be branching out with another venue very soon, so we are excited to see this brand grow and flourish as a name around Egypt as it has in France.

WE SAID THIS: Can’t Go To Cannes, It Came To You
