Forget About It, Let’s Just All Move To El Gouna

joubal2We’ve said before that nothing compares to living by the sea, and it seems that more and more people are heading to El Gouna and appreciating the #beachlife.

After its highly-anticipated launch in April, 2015, all of the units in El Gouna’s Joubal Lagoon were sold in a mere three weeks.

Offering a coveted breezy location and stunning properties, Joubal Lagoon’s sales are no doubt a success story for Orascom Hotels & Development; this is the quickest turnaround time Egypt’s real estate industry has seen in recent memory.

It seems these days that so many of our friends now reside on the coast, especially as self-proclaimed “Gounies” – an eclectic collection of young workers, startup entrepreneurs, expats, businessmen, families and retirees.

And developers are paying attention to the range of people flocking to the beach; Joubal Lagoon offered units ranging from apartments to twin villas and villas.

While a permanent move to El Gouna isn’t practical for all, a growing number now own or aspire to have properties there. And it’s clear why, with its vibrant local community and outdoor activities that you just can’t do in Egypt’s urban centers.

With the overpopulation and traffic in Cairo becoming increasingly suffocating, we don’t blame them; in fact, we’re itching to join them.
