Food Review: Roma Pizza

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to eat delicious pizza. Truth.

Nothing like a girl’s slumber party, an evening spent with the boys playing PS or a movie marathon with the fam. But these nights are not well-spent without pizza; actually these nights require lots of pizza.

And that pizza you’ve been craving is just right around the corner in Heliopolis, Nasr City, Mohandeseen, Shorouk and Sheikh Zayed. Or better yet: delivered to your door.

My friends and I have been dying for pizza for a while now and since it’s winter, we don’t have to worry about how we’d look in a bikini.

What are we ordering? Good question.

With a wide variety of pies to choose from, here’s what we ordered. No judging, please!

Food Breakdown:

 Go Green

One of my favorites! This was what I chose for my first slice. The best thing about Go Green is that you don’t have to feel guilty about not being healthy, because it’s the perfect guilty pleasure. The addition of sweet corn was a nice change from the usual veg pizza at most other places, but the onions were a tad undercooked.

Still steaming when we opened the box, it was fresh, hot and cheesy.

 Cheese

With melted blue cheese and mozzarella, this pizza is guaranteed to take you to the heart of Roma.

BBQ Chicken

ChickenBBQ

Let’s put the ketchup aside for this one, it’s BBQ time! The thing I liked most about this pizza is the jalapenos. That was just the perfect kick I needed for another round of slices. The chicken was tender and perfectly soft, although the pizza itself could have had more sauce – you can’t go wrong with more BBQ! If you don’t like spicy food, order this without the jalapeños.

Pepperoni

peporoni

A must. The tangy pepperoni had that perfectly baked crunch around the edges, which matched perfectly with the smoothness of the melted mozzarella. Every single bite up to the crisp crust was a hit! The pizza dough itself is pretty standard – no extra herbs or spices, but a solid and delicious base for the rest of the toppings.

Service

The man we ordered from deserves a prize simply for taking our order, which we changed several times due to our group’s competing cravings. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered every question we had about each pizza, describing their toppings in detail. He even gave recommendations based on feedback from other customers.

At the end, he said we’d have our pizzas within 45 minutes. 39 long minutes later (we were starving!), our food arrived. Thank God!
