The results are in! Aspiring designers from across the region gathered to compete for the 2016 DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize in the accessories category in Dubai, and we can’t be more proud of the talented Egyptian sisters – Okhtein – for winning the Best Accessories Designer. The results were announced during a ceremony hosted by Vogue Arabia with a group of supporters coming out to celebrate the finalists and winners.

The winners – Aya and Mounaz Abd El Raouf – launched their brand, Okhtein, in 2013 finding their muse in the history, artistry and passion of their country – Egypt – with a touch of modernism and style. They’re known for their psychedelic yet trendy masterpieces that stem from one architectural design element or another found in the alleys of Old Cairo. They introduced their new line of scarves in 2015 and are planning to add jewelry and sandals to their production line soon.

WE SAID THIS: Congratulations, Okhtein. We are proud mamas!
