Ok, If you haven’t heard it so far, here is the lowdown on and I KiD YOU NOT the COOLEST thing to hit the hair world. Dreamcatchers (and no we aren’t talking about the Indian Webbed designs you hang on your window because its pretty), dubbed the best hair extensions in the world. Here is the Scoop straight from the source, Stephanie (ex Tony & Guy from NYC) on her take on the product.

When did you discover that you wanted a career in the beauty industry?

I’ve known pretty much all my life. Growing up all my friends would say that I had to do something in this field. I always had girls lined up waiting for me to do their hair and make-up .Its what I’ve always loved to do. My heart has always been in this.

What are some of your accomplishments?

At 19 I became the make-up educator at Toni and Guy, later I became an Educational Director for cutting. When I was 22 I was published in Culture Magazine, a fashion magazine based out of Australia. I’ve also been published in magazines around the including China and Dubai as well as featured on major fashion websites like Vouge.IT and Onestowatch.com. My most recent photoshoot was doing hair for model Jessica Perez, Sports Illustrated’s Model of the Year. I also worked Miss Universe 2011

What brought you out to Egypt?

The ladies from VeeVaaME ‘The Glamour Distributors.’ They are an up and coming company that offers the latest beauty products and trainings. I came to help them promote and educate for their new product DreamCatchers.

What is your connection to VeeVaaME?

I met the ladies of VeeVaaME while they were on a recent trip to New York. I found out that they were bringing DreamCatchers to the Middle East, how exciting! DreamCatchers are huge in the US, especially where I live in New York, all the hottest celebrities have DreamCatchers and I have tons of experience working with them. So the ladies asked me to come out to help educate stylists in Egypt to cut and blend DreamCatchers properly.

Why do you endorse DreamCatchers versus other hair extension companies?

I myself was a hardcore clip on extension fanatic until I came across DreamCatchers. Why in the world was I wearing clip ons? With DreamCatchers I can wear my hair up or down, my hair feels and looks natural and they are non-damaging. I was tired of taking my clips ons on and off everyday, plus I noticed breakage in my hair from the weight. DreamCatchers feel and look great plus they cause no damage. Dope Sauuuuce! (in a New Yorkers accent)

Tell us something you’ve noticed about stylists and salons in Egypt?

I noticed that there is great potential here. They just need the right education and training. I encourage women to ask their stylists to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. I know from experience that to make clients happy and stand out in the industry, stylists and salons need to keep themselves up to date.

We Said This: One of the Scoop Empire girls got their hair did there, and it rocked!
