What is going on with Egypt’s social media this week? Donia Samir Ghanem posted a photo of herself on Instagram performing at her Marassi concert and the Internet basically lost it. Fans left the harshest comments, accusing the star of going against her religion, and the whole reason fans even liked her, was because of “e7teramha” (her respect).

I started literally stalking some of these people who left comments publicly slut-shaming Ghanem. First thing I’ve noticed is that most of these people leave hateful comments on every post they come across, which basically says more about them than the actress and singer. The second thing that was as obvious as their miserable souls was that most of them were women who posted photos of themselves in hijab.

This brings us to a very important conclusion, and this one goes out to her bullies. Just because you are covered up, it does not mean you are mo7tarama (respectable), and based on the language you used on Ghanem’s post, you are the furthest thing away from mo7tarama. Does the religion you accuse her of going against support the way you criticized her and the names you called her? I highly doubt it.

The real embarrassment and disappointment is your attitude, not her short Sahel dress. Who gave you all the right to call a married woman and a mother a slut because you don’t like what she’s wearing? You don’t sound mo7tarama yourself. Get a life of your own instead of staring at screens and judging people from the comfort of your miserable couches. I keep telling people there is a freakin’ unfollow button.

WE SAID THIS: Unlike, unfollow or block the lady and move the hell on, haters.
