#CaptainsOfCareem: The Family Man

Originally from Lebanon, Careem captain Mohamed Yasser moved to Egypt for the sake of his family.

“I sacrificed a lot. I left Lebanon and came here because my children need me,” he told us. “And it’s not right or fair to dump all the responsibility to their mother.”

After meeting his Egyptian wife in Kuwait where he previously lived, they moved to Lebanon for a year but weren’t able to live the life they wanted. Yasser’s wife and kids returned to Egypt, and he soon followed.

When Yasser speaks about his kids, his face lights up; they are his everything. Thanks to his flexible working hours at Careem, he can be at home with them when they return from school during the week.
