UPDATED: The Scoop on Cairo Bites

cbchefs

cblogoComing up on Apr. 26 is an event the capital’s growing foodie scene is already drooling over – Cairo Bites, billed as the country’s first food festival.

Brought to you by the young guns at Sirkil, Cairo Bites is not your packaged food fest found in any major city. Cairo Bites is uniquely Egyptian, to be held against the drama and splendor of none other than Baron Palace.

Expect stand-up comedians graciously poking fun at you for binge eating – while you binge eat, surprising cooking competitions that don’t involve housewives making fattah and a round-the-world culinary tour of high-quality vendors.

For a regular ticket, priced at 95 LE, you’ll get unlimited samples and a voucher worth 50 LE for a meal. Exclusive tickets, for 225 LE, will get you coveted seats on the terrace, where you’ll be served your samples and have a prime view of the stage, and a voucher worth 125 LE for a meal.
