Amazon, the largest e-commerce company in the world, is studying the establishment of a logistics center in Egypt. This is huge for the Egyptian economy on so many levels! Why, you say? Well, let us enlighten you.

Former Chairperson of the Egyptian-American Business Council, Hany Kesis, stated that numerous Egyptian companies have already begun negotiations with Amazon to distribute its products, while Amazon is going to send a delegation to Cairo in 2-3 weeks to choose the location, contact the Egyptian government, and meet several companies that are interested.

Amazon is interested in distributing the products of a number of exporters to American and European markets if they meet the standards. Hopefully, if the agreement is done and settled, the expected Egyptian exports through Amazon will reach $1bn during the first phase.

WE SAID THIS: It’ll be a real bummer if the negotiations don’t work out. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
