The Administrative Court ruled that the American University in Cairo has to calculate its tuition fees entirely in EGP, according to the old US dollar rate of 8.88 EGP. This decision is law-binding and is effective immediately. From now on, the Egyptian Ministry of High Education must confirm on any changes regarding the tuition fees. This is wonderful news for all AUC students out there, as well as their families who must have experienced rough times during this rise in fees.
