Mubarak Sentenced to life in Prison

Judge Ahmed Refaat, responsible for overseeing the Mubarak trial, has sentenced deposed Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to life in prison today for ordering the killing of protesters during the uprising that swept him from power last year. He also sentenced his former interior minister, Habib el-Adli, to life in prison on the same charge. On the other hand, same charges on the six former security aides to Habib el Adli along with Alaa and Gamal Mubarak have been dropped by the court.

Mubarak and both his sons have been cleared of any financial charges, although the sons still face another case for Stock Market fraud.

  The Verdict

As everyone is just getting up to start the new week, there seems to be only one thing on everyone's minds; The Mubarak verdict!

The only thing that seems certain is the rumors and the assumptions of what the outcome may be. Some assume he will get let off, others believe that he may be given a short scentence and having already spent two years of it he will get off with house arrest. Others though are hoping and looking for a death penalty, or the maximum possible term.

Not to get political on you guys, but in the past 30 years and serving the people let's remember the humane side in us all and not hope for the worst possible outcome!

WE SAID THIS: See I told you, as I have my coffee in Haagen Dazs, even the men behind the counter are talking about this!
