El Qanater el Khayreyya is a city in Qalyubia governorate, Egypt. The city is famous for its huge water gates that are placed on the tip of the delta triangle on the Nile river. Back in the day it was a mega agricultural project. The mud there is the finest in the world and it can produce crops 27 times faster than any other place. People usually visit Qanater for chill boat rides (felucca) and have some fresh fish. Here are some of my photographs from when I visited this beautiful city.
