8 Showstopping Gowns by Middle Eastern Designers at the Oscars

Arab designers have been taking the fashion world by storm and the Oscars was no exception. Plenty of A-list celebrities selected Middle Eastern designers for the most important event of awards season.

Here are some local designers whose dresses were seen on this year’s Academy Awards red carpet!

Elie Saab

An admirer of Ellie Saab, this is certainly not the first time Jennifer Lopez has been seen rocking his designs. JLo looked absolutely stunning in a peach gown covered with embellishments.

Wearing a beaded number, Emma Stone sparkled on the red carpet. We love the risky lime green color of her gown and the way she pulled it off even more.

Zuhair Murad

Radiating elegance, Jenna Dewan Tatum embodies grace in a simple white gown. This look defines the phrase “less is more”.

chrissie

Going for a plunging embellished dress, Chrissy Teigen dazzles on the red carpet. This one could very easily be one of our favorites of the night.

anna

This beautiful gown had its fashion debut the night of the Oscars. Dripping in glitter, it unquestionably turned heads while gliding down the red carpet. And Anna Faris looked good, too.

Charbel Zoe

Catt Sadler wore a gorgeous Charbel Zoe piece on the red carpet. The detailing alone is enough to make your head spin!

Mireille Dagher

Giuliana-Rancic

Gulianna Rancic owned the red carpet with a bold red dress. The detailing on this Mireille Dagher gown gave it a special flare.

Alaïa

Known for her extremely risqué outfits, Lady Gaga showed off a more sophisticated style (just ignore the lobster gloves…). This astonishing Alaïa gown stunned on the red carpet!

WE SAID THIS: Don’t miss Arabs at the Oscars 2014.
